Diligent law students would also resign themselves to their personal goals, such as Ji-ho`s plan to prosecute Prosecutor Jin. It is also inevitable that Kang Dan will appear in the story and Lee Man Ho, as dangerous as it may seem, will always provide the necessary evil spice or redemptive moment in the narrative. During a supervised simulation attempt, a law professor is found dead at the school and Professor Yang is arrested as the prime suspect. Kang Sol, Han Joon-Hwi and other Hankuk students work together to uncover the truth behind Professor Seo`s death and prove Professor Yang`s innocence. The story then rushes to Han Joon-hwi, who is watching the CCTV of Kang Sol A; Lee Man-ho beats someone – he rushes outside. Meanwhile, Lee Man-ho tied up Professor Yang – he managed to remove his tracker from his ankle. Professor Yang asks Lee Man-ho why he killed Professor Seo – Lee Man-ho is injected with methamphetamine to kill him with an overdose, but Yang says it won`t look like a suicide to buy time. But when he wants to inject her, he gets a phone call, and Professor Yang yells, «He`s not home,» and kicks the man. However, Lee Man-ho manages to lash out at him and starts injecting him with methamphetamine.
Han Joon-hwi rushes into the apartment and stops him. In order to accuse Professor Yang, he defends himself as a request from Professor Seo`s wife for a second autopsy. With another autopsy, this would complicate the matter. The prosecutor`s office and the police who deal with it do not want to live in this situation. However, his generous donation to Hanguk University gave him the opportunity to establish himself as an educator at the university`s Faculty of Law. When he was found dead, the famous but competent criminal law professor Yang Jong Hoon (Kim Myung Min) was arrested by police after evidence pointed to him as the likely perpetrator. This is exactly what Sol-A needs when she finally returns to law school for her mock trial. Now it becomes clear that Kang-Dan was also involved. And then we have another leap forward, because why not, I think? Anyway, this one is a few years later. Sol-A is a lawyer and has her own law firm, Park and Yang. Joon-Hwi is now also a prosecutor, while Yang is still a professor. When the drama ends, they all enter the courtroom spectacularly.
Professor Yang visits Ki Du-seong from his hospital bed – Ki Du-seong again claims self-defense and shows his stab wound; he believes Lee Man-ho brought it upon himself. Prosecutor Jin shows up at the hospital, and Professor Yang wonders why Lee Man-ho called him before his argument with Ki Du-seong – he asks the prosecutor to investigate thoroughly and not play with him – he believes that Ki Du-seong was ordered to kill Lee Man-ho. Prosecutor Jin pulls up his sleeve and retaliates by accusing Professor Yang and Joon-hwi of complicity. It leads to the removal of the professor from his post. Joon-hwi also submitted his resignation from the school. Han Joon-hwi asks Kang Sol B about the paper and why she plagiarized him when she was good enough. Eventually, Kang Sol B comes to her parents` house, and her mother is desperate and fears that she will lose her job as a judge if she is expelled from law school.
So she begs her husband to do something. The next day, Kang Sol B admits that she copied the paper, but she could have done it herself. The vice-dean (the father) tries to resign and then delivers the letter to the dean. Students and professors at South Korea`s top law school are involved in a very unusual case. Yang Jong Hoon is a criminal law professor and former elite prosecutor whose harsh words make him the professor to avoid. At the same time, there is something fascinating about his strict teaching methods and his refusal to accept anything less than the best of his future juniors in the legal profession. He gives him a USB stick. These are the dashboard camera footage of the hit-and-run – it highlights how Professor Seo kept the footage. In the present, Professor Yang calls Rep. Ko and asks if he was at a funeral near the site on the day of the accident. Deputy Ko meets with Prosecutor Jin about Professor Yang`s suspicions. He tells her that he doesn`t think anyone else was in the car – he asks the prosecutor to accept Ki Du-seong`s self-defense request and give the public what she wants. Episode 14 dates back to the day of the incident. Professor Seo was in the car with Lee Man-ho.
Professor Yang calls him, and Seo continues the call. Lee Man-ho, however, belittles him. Lee Man-ho tells Professor Seo not to surrender because that would be unfair. Professor Seo grabs Lee Man-ho and tells him that he wanted to be chief prosecutor because, like him, he could tidy up the bastards. Lee Man-ho asks him if this is the case with MP Ko. In the present, Lee Man-ho dies in intensive care. Ji-ho asks some investigators to disclose that Prosecutor Jin disclosed his alleged crime to the media. Next, he explains how the prosecutor disclosed his father`s alleged crime. Kang Sol B asks who allegedly benefited from escaping his father`s alleged crime and wonders if it has anything to do with the toy company competing with him (I-Bit). An angry Ji-ho confronts Prosecutor Jin and asks, «Was Representative Ko behind you?» and insinuates that the politician took money from the CEO of I-bit.
